History : Gajalakshmi Vilakku, a traditional South India lamp made out of brass. This diya portrays Goddess Lakshmi the sitting on a full bloomed lotus. The Vilakku has intricately carved elephants at the sides of the Goddess, arches and Louts flowers. Handmade by skilled artisans.All auspicious functions commence with the lighting of the brass diya or vilaku.
